I live the worst of both worlds. I don't get enough oxygen and can hallucinate, telling stories that seem real to me at the time, but obviously could neverr happen, part of my hallucination when I look back in retrospect. I am also a creative writer and can make unusual abstract ideas interesting an...

:D Gingersnaps, I admire your spunk and idealism. You keep trying. New to chat let alone cut and paste. Just wanted to thank you for your encouragement. It made may day much happier. I'm getting a little over the wall with trying to get medicl care but tradition never did work for me and after two y...

What you are describing is exactly what I want to do. I have held on to the dream of being a published author since I was six--more than half a century. I am having trouble psychologically moving from weiting for an audience to writing for my own healing, writing what I need to, instead of writing w...

I can think a lot of jobs I can do online, it has to be online because I amin a wheelchair and can't afford wheelchiar transport and it helps being nonsocial anyway. But my ADHD and epilepsy continue untreated and doctors laugh at me. I have an advocate and nurse working hard to get me help but they...

Ox. I am also a Taurus. So I got it twice over in the stubborn department.

I used to be stubborn about finding social acceptance no matter what.

But social unacceptance has now made me stubborn about avoiding people contact no matter what.

I think we need a law that says we must treat every body like an oddball aspie. Then everybody would feel rejected and alienated and withdraw into the isolation of their homes without people contact, making conflict, let alone war, impossible. Not to mention that would solve the problem of overpopul...

I always dreamed of writing nonjudgmental books about the damage of social stigma and isolation on the human soul, hoping to motivate people to compassion and acceptance of people who are different. I have finally collapsed under the weight of social stigma and lack of compassion so that I could nev...

Response to DancyClancy's post on Sept 28th.

My real name is Ginger and I used Gingersnaps because the name Ginger was already taken. I actually don't like the taste of Ginger or Gingersnaps.

I gave up the caffeine 48 hours ago. Yaaaay!! !!

I let go of the caffeine about 48 hours ago. Feeling good about that. I've lived exclusively on caffeine and sugar so long, I didn't think I could do it. I use it to self-medicate the ADHD so I'm a little spacy and not getting my paperwork done. On the other hand, I cleaned most of my apartment toda...

Could somebody tell me how to get Bonny's response into my private mail? I found her suggestions very helpful. I have a degree in math, but I was born in the 40's and graduated without taking a single computer course. My mind doesn't wrap easily around using computers even though I'm good at it when...

I think I'm self-absorbed in part because I'm so isolated that I don't have anyone else to think about. I can get very interested in other people. But I'm so used to other people misunderstanding me and trying to control everything I do, I don't like to comment on what others tell me or offer advice...

I've had similar thoughts. Everybody yells at me that I need to work harder on all this day to day stuff to fit in that seems so trivial to me in the scheme of things. I feel sorry for them that they get so lost in the ritual of people pleasing and fitting the mold that they get no down time to pond...

I've been much less stressed out since I stopped fretting about how to make poeple like me and stay around. Since I decided to just be me, explain the Aspergers if I wanted them to stick, and let the cards fall where they may. If they weren't going to stick after the explanation, they wouldn't witho...

Yes, 12 hours of ritualistic list making will soothe me to the point of preventing a major meltdown.

Fatigue is my most likely trigger. But I'm rarely anything but fatigued, partly because I have so much excess energy, I constantly wear myself out, while forgetting to do things like sleep.
