does awesomelyglorious exist to whom? define who or what it is that is perceiving whether or not awesomelyglorious exists. Interesting way of looking at it. AG exists to me as a name and smiley avatar that keeps showing up on my computer screen that has told me that I am just a “useful cognitive il...

Awesome and glorious thread!! :D It would be ignorantly nihilistic to say we don't exist - we each have senses that experience our perceived reality so we know that we each exist. The question is HOW do we exist. To answer this we need to analyse who this 'I' is that we refer to whenever we consider...

It's the commercial fruit juices and soft drinks/soda pops that are causing the most tooth decay. Put the fluoride in those drinks and leave it out of the water - if people want to poison their bodies with those types of drinks then they may as well poison themselves with a bit of fluoride as well. ...

I've been white my entire life so I can't comment on what it's like to have darker skin. But I can comment on my experience with a rude bus driver. And being aspie. When I was a student I much preferred trains to buses. I only took the bus when there was no other option, so I didn't know how the sys...

AG, Can I thoroughly recommend to you the works of Lama Tsong Khapa? He was a Tibetan buddhist scholar from a tradition that relies *heavily* on debate and analytical thought. He compiled the entire essence of the Buddha's teachings - both the sutras and the commentaries other scholars wrote on thos...

I can't speak for all girls, but personally I don't go for the buffed-muscles look, I wouldn't care about mild acne and maybe I'd get a bit intimidated if the guy dances better than me. But if he's willing to learn to dance despite some awkwardness I'd find that really cute, and fun too. gnosis, you...

Yeah, I should become a madam. I see a potential for healing and cash. No, I don't want to be an escort, I fall in love too easily. SporadSpartan, where are you? lol! Yeah I'm the same - I'd fall in love too easily. Then you wouldn't make much money out of me because I'd be giving too much away for...

It seems dishonest to discuss rather mundane issues with people, when only moments prior to speaking to them you've just had an incredible orgasm. It seems that even though the experience of sex, or masturbation was so significant at the time - you're expected to pretend that it didn't even happen. ...

I think that's a good point Lene. If you're genuinely interested in the other person's needs/interests you won't think about your own insecurities in socialising. This might be difficult for an aspie - I know myself that I'm usually only interested in my own interests! But thinking in terms of human...

Hey Shadow-Fox, I'm probably way too immature to even be in the Adult forum. So I'll resort to what's probably a common method of humour when talking about this. Did you write this on purpose: 'I do know this can be a very touchy subject.' ? lol! I thought that was funny anyhow. Also I had a friend ...

Actually my point in this post is to talk about the cognitive/psychological/emotional effect of the practice of praying or meditating -- ignoring the question of any divine response. Although ruveyn and I have our differences I must agree he is right on point on religion. I find it unacceptably nai...

I reckon it's a shame you haven't got time for the dance classes now. Are you sure you can't go without some sleep to fit it in? Ideally you could ask the girl to take the classes with you. Sorry if that's not very realistic. Also, when I was a teenager I stopped eating anything with sugar and that ...

Hi JP88 - you just started a conversation (but maybe you mean real life ones!). Anyhow, I can't give advice because my life's a mess. But when I was a teenager I basically adopted a persona which enabled me to approach basically anyone. As my persona was so confident I sort of got away with the AS q...

Thanks Toad - I like it when someone responds to me in these threads. Otherwise it can seem like I'm talking to myself and then I start wondering if it's worth it or not. Anyhow I'm not going to become a prostitute. That occupation seems far too messy for my liking anyhow. And it usually doesn't tak...

I'm more creeped out by guys who lie or who are overly-confident around women. And yes, sometimes their lies are blatantly obvious even to someone like me. And similar to what Pobodys_Nerfect said - it creeps me out that our society doesn't consist more of people in monogamous relationships. I'm not...
