Hi Martin - don't know if you're still looking since this post is pretty dated, but I thought I would reply since I am a translator - I can read both English and Dutch, but I predominantly translate from Japanese and German to English, so I can definitely help, but might need a native speaker's fin...

Our Labrador retriever dog has done wonders for our 8 year old son. The week after we got the dog he started playing more with other children and his concentration on school improved. It is always difficult to know for sure how much something is influenced by getting the dog but we found it a nice s...

We just moved to France from the US this past summer. My kids like having a picture schedule and my daughter learned to talk using visual prompts. These will be helpful for my daughter to use at school as she knows very little French. Thank you so much for sharing this :D . Nice! Great to hear :-) ...

Picto Selector has 16000 symbols now after several updates. I'm currently working on a database version which should run fine on a network. (Nice for sharing the picto sheets over a school/home/office network)

As for the single list updating suggestion, a mod would have to maintain it; members ability to edit expires. But you could start it, and periodically post recommended update posts, that a mod would integrate. I think we're OK on room for it. Final approval would be Alex's, but I don't see a proble...

Can you point me to the right topic? A search did not find it. Or is is a very generic topic? I would like this to be a topic about software for parents of children with autism

Well maybe I could maintain the first post to include a overview of all software mentioned? Then the rest of the topic can be used to comment about them and add new items to the list.

But ofcourse only if people are interested.

There is already a topic about recommended books. Is there any interest in a recommended software topic? If so then it would be nice to have it stick at the top. It could have a some headers like: Freeware Windows, Commercial Windows, Apps on Itunes, Apps for Android etc. And yeah, i would recommend...

I think you can add at least a donation button from Paypal to get something for your hard work. I'm sure there are people around who want to support it.

I've added a link to your site at:
http://www.pecsforall.com/pictoselector/index_en.html

It is almost at the bottom of the page.

Version 1.2.7 is now online. Known issue: - on some systems the creation of PDF's is failing (the last line of images is missing). Currently the only workaround is to use an external pdf-printer like cute pdf writer (http://www.cutepdf.com/) Additions: - Added german translation of the application -...

Thanks for the feedback budgenator!

Well if they really prefer sponsors above helping their parents then it means that it will take more time before it is common knowledge. I get great feedback from a lot of countries. Some countries will take some more time :-)

It looks like that money is very important for the big autism sites. Bringing my freeware into attention is failing and i have the feeling (no hard evidence) that it is because those sites are sponsored by the major players with their commercial tools. The bottomline is that the parents pay for it. ...

And he remembered to wash the hair down to the scalp and all the other parts? Lol, I think your 7 year old may be doing a little better than my 13 year old in this department ... Ditto this with my ten year olds. We tried working on it last summer, but they just weren't there yet. We'll be giving i...

I got diet adds all the time.... Blocking the adds is not that good because when clicked they provide funds for the website.... So the adds are needed to keep it free of charge. I do the same with my own website. I do not show adds because i like them, but because they will (hopefully) pay me the we...
