If it's personality to personality, or a job where personality rather than professional ability matters, sure the NT gets it all the time. As Aspie you must find out what you are good at and show (and be confident in) that, and that you will contribute to the company significantly with your skills. ...

Being ruined financially and relationally is even worse than not getting sex.

I met a man this morning, he message me, I been talking to him all day, he told me he works for the USA Army, he has deployment to Western Africa in Nigeria. I been on alot of dating sites in the past, they had warnings on scams, I copy & paste it, so I would remember it. Do all people in USA A...

I'm beginning to accept that my friendship will be few... and probably won't have a friend of opposite sex unless I can cure Asperger's (because I think that's what its going to take). I am really stumbling in the dark when it comes to relationships.

People are scary Say the wrong thing, it goes from being labeled a racist (even when no racism is intended, and I'm often the victim of racism myself), to being charged with harassment. Then people don't tell you what you should be doing, nor do they give you any clues as to what might have gone wro...

In my experience, I had worse experience with aspies compared to NT. I don't know if it's a case of "like repels, opposite attracts" but most the aspies I met with have been hard to communicate with and breaks off all contacts rather quickly, for very trivial reason. The open minded NT see...

I am in Austin now I can't say I like it because it seems if I eat meat, like guns, etc. I must be evil. Also while I tried Asperger's support group I have found other aspies to be extremely difficult to be friends with. They're too easily offended and if I want to actually be their friend, they run...

Most people on the Autism spectrum are poor hustlers... Asking them to hustle is like using a lawnmower as ceiling fans... It won't move much air and it's dangerous. I don't know about the US military but when I was in the military in Taiwan if we worked fast, we got more and more jobs. We do not ge...

The problem is they need to see a collar, so if it doesn't have a collar they will see that it's fake.

I seen someone wear T shirts that have a collar though. Maybe that and a tie over it (or maybe a tie with a fake collar)

I have no idea how to find a coach without paying a bunch of money though. To me a lot of "asperger's support group" seems more like an exclusive club.

Small, medium, or large? I'm mostly asking from people who will be drawing from experience, but I'll read everything. Thank yous. If I can, large. Large companies MUST follow all rules, meaning rules with respect to disability, pay, safety, performance evaluation, etc. They're a lot more predictabl...

There's a saying... a government powerful enough to give you everything is powerful enough to take it all away. I think there should be a balance though. Much of these programs are created because of abuses by the corporate world, the rich not taking care of the poor or the workers when they had obl...

I am in Austin... Autism support group is unhelpful. I am not even sure anyone there have aspergers. Thing is, I was hoping that they'd be more understanding of someone with Aspergers and know what to do but all they do is spend time in some cafe (that costs money) and don't really talk about anythi...

I hate professional attire for different reason... to me it represents repression. Another reason is for some reason professional attire is very uncomfortable. It's like they designed it to act like plastic in hot weather and you'll be soaked in sweat in short order in anything above 80 degrees. Tex...

I don't think I'm bad at driving, I just don't have much practice at it because cars cost too much and unless I live somewhere with much lower rent, it isn't realistic. Honestly the last thing Austin needs is more cars... I passed a driving test before, and if I could only get more wheel time in a m...

I'm not sure what kind of engineering firm you are working in, there are many different types... I will assume computer related since it sounded very competitive. I mean if it's so competitive that there's a huge pool of people willing to work for free for "exposure", then perhaps it's not...
