Sometimes I do. There seems to be a trend for the characters in movies to speak very fast and when that happens, I have a hard time following the converstation. As a more visual person, it takes me a while to process what I hear so when they start in with that choppy, machine-gun type dialog I get l...

Are you all as enamored with the American accent as we Americans are with a British accent? I was reading a post by someone from the UK and I could just hear her accent in the words she used and it made me smile. |

I don't get women at all and I think what a previous poster said about males being more tolerant is very true. Females are supposed to be the social ones, the nurturers and if you don't fit the mold, you can expect to be shut out. Also, I'm very feminine and like to dress nice, wear make-up, and hav...

I've found an easy, fool-proof way to tell: If they're female and breathing, they don't like me. Seriously, though, sometimes yes, sometimes no. Occasionally it's very obvious. For instance, if someone ignores me even though I know good and well they see me or if someone is balatantly rude. Mo...

I don't think I've really dealt with this. My common sense is generally OK. But let me think of something I can remember doing what involved lacking common sense/being too literal..... I'm not sure if this is actually lacking common sense or not, but often when somebody near me is busy doing someth...

I can't stand those hand dryers and it amazes me whenever I see people nonchalantly using them like the sound is nothing. It's very painful for me. I won't go in restrooms that have them unless it's absolutely necessary and if someone uses the dryer while I'm in there, I plug my ears. I don't care i...

My favorite spot to vacation is probably unusual for an extreme introvert, but I love Disney World. :) Yes, it is crowded, loud, and overstimulating - all the things I hate. Yet, I love the place and can't get enough. In some ways, it's an introvert's dream. I can totally immerse myself in the attra...

I'm primarily a loner; however I think I would enjoy socializing once in a while if I knew how do it successfully and weren't so uncomfortable with it. I like the IDEA of friendship and relationships. When I read novels I'll get very attached to the characters and think that I'd love to be friends w...

I wear them quite often and since I have long hair they are not noticeable. I don't think there's any way I could tolerate our kids' sporting events without them. I also use them sometimes when I'm out shopping. I like to wear sunglasses, too, but I usually don't when I'm indoors. Every once I while...

I've had one experience that I suppose could be called paranormal. I don't consider myself phsychic, though, because it's not something I have control over or experience on a regular basis. As a matter of fact, several people in my family (all skeptics, btw), have had similar experiences as well - a...

I don't have any friends outside of family and that's ok. Sure, I'd like to have friends, but that's not going to happen and I found that the constant rejection was frustating, depressing, and hurtful. I'm much happier now that I've stopped trying.

While I'm generally a big fan of using alcohol to help cope with social situations, I would definitely not use it in an interview. There is a good chance the interviewer would be able to tell and in that case, you've blown any chance you may have had. I'd recommend instead something like xanax. It w...
