I have told a few really close work friends. Outside of that, I am going to work on myself and move on. I would love to become more involved in causes relating to autism someday in the future, but until that day I feel the best thing to do is keep it within the circle that supports me, and live my l...

When I got diagnosed I didn't believe it for a couple years until I saw other people with it and compared them to myself and did my own research. I pretty much hate it. Don't see a huge point in it, especially since there's not much that can be done to fix it. I have NVLD, though, and my symptoms a...

I hated my first ex for a longtime because she talked a lot of garbage about me online. Not only that, but she was never willing to talk about any of the issues she supposedly had with me. However, it was ok to talk about me online and then not explain anything. A lot of it was untrue and I didn't r...

"normal" women do date guys with autism. I am proof of that! Unfortunately, I was not educated about autism, Aspergers, etc at the time I dated the love of my life. I believe she may have also had some form of autism. Neither of us knew and I think it caused our relationship to implode. I am happy w...

I enjoy kissing, but not as much as some of my girlfriends have. I only ever dated one girl who I truly enjoyed kissing all the time. I am the same way about hand holding. I enjoy it, but need it in moderation.

I do a lot of the things outlined in this thread as well. I am horrible when it comes to repeating myself. I can never get a good sense of whether I am being understood by people or not. Mainly when there is a conflict. I always feel like people are not allowing me to be heard. That is one of my num...

I always park my car the farthest away from the store as possible. This is so I don't "loose" it since I'm bad at making "mental maps" and I almost never can find my car in parking lots. When I go to the store, I need to lap the entire store at least once. There are many "hot foods" I prefer to eat...

Hi! My name is Marc. I have not been formally diagnosed with Aspergers or Autism, but quite a few educators I know feel pretty strongly that I am. From all of the things I have read on here and elsewhere online, I can pretty much confirm that I am somewherenon the spectrum. The whole point of me com...
