Yes I have experienced this in the past and I didn't want hurtful comments. I'm fine now, my dad took the kids over to my moms house and was gone all day, I got a break from them all day and im fine now. I think mainly what I needed was constant quietness from them which I agree doesn't make you a b...

I was thought to have aspergers at 16. I am currently in a shut down and have been pacing constantly from being overwhelmed and stressed from a traumatic experience I went through. I tend to pace all the time and can't stop and the noise from my kids overwhelms me more and them fighting, my dad has ...

Some men are like that. My kids dad is like that. Hang in there, I know that must be very hurtful for you. You do have your mom and find support from others with aspergers and in the autism community. That is his fault, not yours. Its a sad situation, but be better than him and make something of you...

I'm so sorry for what has happened. I'd be contacting the special ed director in that county- call them yourself, what I did for my daughter and have them arrange a meeting somehow with the main teacher or special ed teacher. I'm not sure how it works, but my daughter had a meeting setup by the spec...

I currently take Ativan, (a bezodiazepam), 0.5 (half a milligram) at a low dosage 3x daily as needed. It helps with my aspergers, anxiety and preventing some meltdowns, reduces some sensory overload and works within 20-30 min after taken. It doesn't make me feel doped up as other medicines have and ...

I thought about buying a wii and add to my collections to my place I rent. I am a loner, have aspergers, dont have any friends where I live and am anti-social via meeting people in person that don't understand me or might find me as vulnerable. However to keep my time occupied from boredom and stres...

I hate doing the laundry mainly because I have to go to the one down the street to do it. I can't stand it if it is busy(I will wait for another day if it is!) and have a set routine time wise. I usually get it done in 53min or less any more makes me want to pull my hair out! I go home during the w...

Whatever you do, just don't be me. If you can manage this (easy) task, you should have no problem. :P  Confused on this? Also, when I said talk, I didn't mean literally but it's on I take things literally too, what I meant was message through messages, pen pal (called snail mail through postal...

I think it's called: "taking things literally" and, from what I've read, many Aspies have it. I was the same for many years, then I noticed that people didn't actually mean what they say or say what they mean. Worst of all things was that a classmate of mine always used to say how much she cared ab...
