Okay, so about 2 years ago, I got a licensed computer from Sacred Heart University, where I graduated from. A few days ago, my screen stopped working (I think I accidentally disabled it >.<). My dad got it back though by going through another, unlicensed (to him) copy of Windows, and basically asking it to repair any damages. Now, my compy thinks it's unlicensed! :O It keeps asking me for a product key...I've tried the number on the bottom of the computer....any suggestions?

let's start with what Operating System you have? XP? Vista? CE-ME-NT?
That will help us figure out where to go from there.

It is WPA - Windows product activation.
It can be easily cracked.

I removed the WPA on my computer as I have "use the key more than 25 times" I paid for it and I am not going to call them... I get all the updates

Do you have the box the Windows disk came in? If not, crack it. If it's actually genuine software I don't think it's even illegal anyway.

If the key is for XP Home and you have Professional installed, you will have problems. The same can be said if you have a Professional key and have Home installed.
If you contact MS it's more than likely they will sell you a new key for something extortionate

The Free Software Foundation...

Because all the best software was finished a long time ago,
so why keep buying it over and over?

Windows by Xerox, almost 50 years ago.

Knoppix 6 boots off a DVD faster than Windows on a Pentium III and has all
COOL features and software like Vista and Windows 7 was supposed to have
all for free on bit torrent. It even works without a hard drive if you have some RAM.
It helps you see Windows is HARD TO USE and SLOW and FULL OF BUGS and VIRUS.
You don't need more software. The DVD is full of it. WINE can probably run your
windows games and homework.
