If you download an .iso or Digital River .box download of Windows 7/W2K8 Server or 2K10 Server and you need to create an USB install or if you're an unlucky schlep with the setup1.box and setup2.box and a .exe file and need to build an .iso off the expandedSetup folder using the oscdimg tool, DO NOT RUN them on a x86 install if you have the x64 build. Otherwise you'll end up pulling your hair and ruining your run/morning/Thanksgiving because of it.

Somehow, the x64 builds will not extract properly on a x86 system for the purpose of USB flash drive creation or .iso building from a expandedSetup folder.

On Amazon Web Services, you can get run a server free for a year. Really. And if you need more and you're making money it's cheap. Work first time operating systems, Linux or Windows.

Be warned though, if you reserve an Elastic IP Address and don't attach it to a running server they'll bill you. Took me days to find about that, so my first month's bill is $1.45
