I heard that Disney recently got the rights to The Diary of Anne Frank. I'm not sure if the movie is coming out to theaters or straight to video. It would be interesting to see how Disney handles a movie dealing with the Holocaust.

Personaly, I'd like to see them do the story of Juan Deigo & the Lady of Guadalupe. I would only be happy if they did it in traditional 2d animation.

Watership Down would be great.

Also, Blitzcat would be nice. And perhaps Bunnicula.

As to more traditional stories, I'd like to see Ulysses and the cyclops. Also, I've always found King Ashoka's life fascinating.

I'd like the Disney company to cease to exist.
Walt would be turning in his grave if he could see what they've done to it.

I think that Puss in Boots would be a great Fairy Tale for them to do. It's a very well known Fairy Tale (especially now that The Shrek franchise is using it so much)

There is one fairy tale Disney hasn't done yet: The Snow Queen. I'd like to see them do that.
Also I'm a big fan of the Warriors saga. I wonder how that would look as a movie series. It doesn't even have to be made by Disney, I'm just curious as to how it'll do as a film.

Watership down would be wonderful. I loved the book as a little kid, and they really need to make more animal movies again anyway.

I also think a Disney animated version of the Odyssey would be unbelievably cool.

Disney is already working on a movie version of The Snow Queen; but I've heard that they dropped it. I'm not sure though; I'm hearing conflicting stories.

It's too bad if they did drop it, because I think they would have done really well with it.

Are you kidding? Studio Ghibli's films are amazing! Much better than Disney's original films. Sure the English translations and dubbing aren't perfect but still amazing. In fact I would watch Spirited Away, Princess Mononmoke, Or Laputa over any Disney films made after the 90s.

Of course there are amazing! I love them. :D But if Disney was somehow still alive and in the head of the company, it wouldn't allow the distribution of Ghibli movies because of the long history of sympathy toward communism of the Ghibli creators.
Walt Disney was not a man as great as the myth he have made out to be. I guess if he was alive today he will believe the ecological movement to be a left wing conspiration, another reason he wouldn't allow his company to distributing Ghibli work.
