If they ever made a Dragonlance Chronicles movie

If they ever made a three part movie series to Chronicles what do you think would be the best way to handle it? The directing? Possible acting?

IMHO it couldn't be another LOTR and to clone the same formula of presentation wouldn't make sense, especially when Margaret Weis and JRR Tolken write so differently. I've got ideas of my own but rather than start a thread and kill it I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks.
