I never feel positive about my achievements (there is a long list of them). I used to be very enthusiastic last year and did extremely well. However, I've almost become 'immune' to my achievements so that I don't get as much joy as I used to. As a result I feel that the teachers only say I'm doing well to make me happy (even if they're not), and I feel less motivated. I want to stop this because I'm doing my mock exams in a few weeks and still need to revise. I have lately been feeling like I can't be bothered to think very much (sometimes I will express myself and stop and say "I just don't feel like thinking!"). I want this to stop.

However, I can't find the straight answer. What are the typical causes for this? Is it bullying? (I often feel like most people are juxtaposed against me) I just don't know the answer because I don't really celebrate my success and don't have as much motivation s I used to (still, I get the work done). Nowadays I feel like I'm doing work because I'm programmed to. (although I still do remarkably well - so far this year I got 2 Student of the Month awards)

However, when I do relax I start worrying about the work I could be doing in that time. I also don't feel as enthusiastic as I used to, so I need advice on how I can fix that.

Now, I actually WOULD LIKE some advice. This is a very important year for me, so I am not going to blow it!

I sometimes put myself down due to being different from everyone but I'm always told by my friends, family and teachers that I achieved some many great things that most people with Asperger's dreamt of doing. I always look at positive side of things for me and what I can accomplished if I just do not give up on myself.

What are the steps I could take to perhaps feel more positive about myself? I used to do this really well but now I've reached a stage where I keep questioning things.

The secret is to live life one day at a time and to make the right choices as you go along.

One of the best pieces of advice to the world came from Ralph Waldo Emerson...

..."Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt have crept in;
forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered
with your old nonsense. This day is all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment
on yesterdays."
