We have threads here on the difference between tantrums and meltdowns, and with suggestions of how to handle meltdowns. In fact, we probably have threads for almost every question. Use the search feature and find them.

I don't mind offering a quick help sentence or two, but most of the parents here have super compacted days, and many are getting by on 6 hours of sleep a night. When they invest the time explaining something in detail, it is because they think that investment will pay off in helping another family overcome a major hurdle. I'm sorry, but you writing a story just isn't worth me skipping the vacuuming for. The mom worried her son might need hospitalization ... THAT I'll skip a chore for. Helping you write a story? If I was your mother, sure, I do that for my kids. But I"m not, and I just can't. So ... feel free to read the wealth of information posted on these boards, and if you've done your homework and just need a quick clarification I'll consider helping, but show me you've done your research first.
