Even though I may have French heritage, that doesn't make me especially French. I am culturally American and I have no real affinity for doing "French" things, like using a bidet or whatever.

Fine, be proud of being American. Again, that is something that will never cause someone to accuse you of racism.

Although I question your claim to be "culturally American," given your disdain for the values this country stands for, and your expressed view that the US should disintegrate.

I don't see German-American heritage groups as really the same as having a militant advocacy organization like the NAACP that agressively fights for their people. Sure, they have a parade in Chicago with a beer float......... They don't really lobby Congress and all of that and try and garner more power for German-Americans.

In general, there are only lobbying groups behind peoples that have been historically oppressed. I know there are Italian-American lobbying groups around, and I'm sure there is at least one Irish lobby out there somewhere. Blacks have been oppressed more than any other ethnic group in the US, so its not surprising that their lobbying efforts are now more visible than anyone else's.

I do have alot of disdain for your interpretation of what American values really are. You seem very intent on repeating like a broken record the 'liberal' values you think constitute the core of the American ideal, and bashing anyone who dares feel otherwise. You think giving American cultural status is as easy as slapping a sticker on the back of anyone who shows up here. If I spent 10 years living in Japan, I still wouldn't be Japanese, but just an American living in Japan.

And people in America still are allowed to have such a view that a country should be allowed to separate into smaller entities that better represent the interests of the ethncities living in those smaller areas.

Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, the USSR...... all split up in recent history to break up the old multinational units. This era is actually a great time for nationalism...... every non-American group is seemingly allowed to separate and form its own state, except for White Americans who don't want to participate in diversity and race-mixing.

Why do different ethnicities in America HAVE to stay stuck together? East Timorians, Moldavians, Abkhazians, Montenegrians, and dozens others have all been allowed to go their own way in the last 20 years, and no one lifts a finger or protests because these groups wish to be autonomous. Why can't an American ethnic group have the same privilege?

In the 20th century, most of the multicultural empires: Hapsburg, British, USSR, and others, all split largely because of the incompatability of different cultures and ethnic groups trying to get along. Does anyone moan the fact that the British Empire is mostly dissoved? These days, nationalist movements outside of the USA are roundly encouraged. Everyone else is getting to redraw their borders based on ethnic separation.

No, only American Whites are prevented from reasserting themselves. And the liberal elites seek the replacement of this proud people with a pliable, and easily manipulated minorities of Haitians, Somailis, Hmongs, Latinos, and many others. They want to create a massive new body of people with no roots, and one that they can reshape in their own image to sink billions of dollars into whatever pop-culture marketing craze they wish to dump on this new population. They'll just slap a cartoon character on a tacky pair of pants and it will sell by the millions.

White American culture is 400 years old, wether the liberals wish to acknowledge it or not, that culture exists in reality. White Americans do identify themeselves as being of a certain descent, like German, but they are white Americans....... in the same way that a Swede doesn't identify himself as a Visigoth or whatever. There is a Southern Confederate culture that will stand on its own feet and be acknowledged as something more than a "filler" population waiting to be wiped out and replaced by mixed-race individuals.

If White Americans really did reclaim their own power and reasserted their own nationalism, they would be such an amazing force.

Not anyone. Someone who comes here sharing our values and wishes to be part of our culture can become an American, although it does not happen instantly.

Because you would have to forcibly deport the large black populations of the South, and you have no greater claim on that particular geographic area than they do.

I can't wait for the last vestiges of Southern Confederate culture to be destroyed and forgotten by history, and it's not because I care about whether southern whites are replaced by any other ethnic group. I just find the general ethos of the "Confederate" culture to be thoroughly repulsive.

I'd be willing to generously give blacks large amounts of good land in the former Confederacy in which they already constitute the majority.

They always complain about how badly they hate being ruled by 'the man.' Give them a chance to start their own nation and let them run with it?

I think when Obama was elected, many black people were sitting there greedily planning to 'raid the white pantry,' only to discover that the decades of social reengineering and wealth distribution programs had already milked that source dry.

I'd like to see how well "diversity" and multiculturalism hold up when no longer funded by white tax dollars. Diversity only clogs along because billions of white tax dollars are pumped into the system to prop up every other culture that claims its own exceptionalism. I'd like to see how those systems really hold up without the white cash cow keeping them afloat.

Wow! Does anyone have far left beliefs in America?

I thought they were all executed as communists years ago. 8O

If you actually lived here your question would not be including the word "left", but rather the word "right". At least from what I've seen from living in a blue state since 2003.

The US is a far right country so what's considered moderate left views in the rest of the world are far left views here. The political landscape here is pretty fascist.

Yeah, unfortunately so....I am not even "far left" here and I get called that. I'm actually more of a liberal/libertarian mix...fiscal moderate-conservative, social liberal, and I get bashed as a "bleeding heart liberal" all the time by the neocons.....but when I take the political tests I place in the libertarian corner 100% of the time. Weird country we live in....

Communists were never executed for being communists in the U.S. There were some, the Rosenbergs who were executed for espionage. But membership in the CPUSA per se, was never a criminal act. The only criminal act was to engage in a conspiracy to overthrow the government of the U.S. by violent means. Such a thing is almost impossible to prove so very few were prosecuted under this law (Smith Act).

That is not to say a great deal of red-baiting did not go on. It did. During the the 1920's communists and anarchists were harrassed and hounded by the police and during the McCarthy era members of the CPUSA and organizations sympathetic to the Communist Party or the Soviet Union were hounded and members were fired from their jobs. This was extra-legal persecution and highly unethical. I was in high school and my first year of college during this unfortunate period. During this time one was urged to keep one's lips buttoned up on matters political.

Um....why do you divide people based on race rather than on their intellect, achievement, and individual character? Ben Carson is one of the best neurosurgeons in the US, and he is black. And he came from one of those gawdawful economically depressed areas that may have had your precious white tax dollars pumped into it...oh, for the love of mike, retyping this racist crap makes me ill. I personally know plenty of black people who are not as you describe. The danger in generalization is that you lump the good in with the bad. My words will probably fall on deaf ears, as racism is rarely something that can be countered with logic, but I will try anyway.

The odd thing is depending on how you look at it...it's far right but it's such a strong emphasis on certain private entities being propped up by the government that's actually left in some ways. The problem is that most of those who are on the government teat are "nation security" contracts so it falls under an issue pushed by the right. But it's also pretty much socialism for certain industries...free money for them that they wouldn't otherwise have. Same with the prison industry. Government money going into private industry hands.

Oh, don't even get me started on corporate welfare. These same "conservative" people who are whining and b*tching about ppl getting even temporary disability benefits, medicaid, whatever, are advocating MUCH more government money being funneled into their pet industries. I'm the health care professional who receives 30 cents for every dollar billed from Medicaid (which is making up more and more of the population because the economy sucks so bad) while Cheney's company (among others) are getting rich. What a load of crap. :x

So you endorse the policy of pretending America is a post-racial society while racial divisions tear apart America? "Colourblindness" is either misguided good intentions or a positively pernicious attempt to avoid reforming America's numerous racial problems.
