I feel very powerless

I try to help friends, but it's as if she doesn't want to deal with the emotions of others, and she had come across as emotionless a few times when I had talked to her.

On the plus side, I may have a job lead. I should hear more details later in the week.

Nothing is going to stand in the way of this woman and the illusion she has created about this so-called dream guy. You can lead someone to the truth but they may not listen. All you can do is offer your help and move on to better things. Good luck with the job.

That's what I have been doing.

I have done much better at empathy then I was just 3-4 years ago. I don't have set routines that must be unflinchingly adhered to, or any of those types of things. I do have a few sensory issues, but they're very minor. It's mostly not understanding hints and hidden meanings that keep me from having a successful relationship with an NT, yet finding an Aspie who has overcome a lot of those things might be difficult.

I hope that things get better for you, soon because I care about you, and I think that you're a good friend.

Although I created a thread in there, I am also going to try to avoid the PPR folder as much as I can.

This friend considers asking for advice or opinions to be signs of weakness, neediness, insecurity, and not "directing and supporting" oneself.

What I feared has happened. She is marrying the guy for the wrong reasons, and has thrown everything away.
