Bad idea, they can't ask you to do the task in such a way that an injury is likely to occur, but generally your employer can let you go if you're working in an unsafe manner.
I know it's tempting to both show you have higher productivity as well as just getting it over with quicker, but if you don't have health insurance or if the only health insurance you have is through your employer, be careful to not harm yourself.
I do logistics in a auto manufacturing facility, which basically consists of moving heavy boxes and bins of parts all day, so I know all about being sore from lifting stuff all day.
