What I hate is the way that people assume that just because you have Aspergers that it automatically makes you a genius who can solve complex math problems without a calculator or hack computers and all that other stuff.

I wish I could do stuff like that.

I know what you mean. I don't have any of the stereotyped Aspie strengths/talents/skills. I'm not not really good at anything useful or good really. I feel like an idiot a lot because the average person is alot smarter than me.

Even those omniscient and all powerful beings: the NTs, can feel like idiots from time to time.

Yeah well I feel like I have made a complete *** of myself on these forums so I'm considering going away for awhile and coming back after people forget about the stupid things I posted and maybe try to work on cleaning up my language.

Nobody here on WP is keeping a rap sheet of the boneheaded things you may have said here.

You remember your missteps better than others do.

Don't know if you really are more prone to saying boneheaded things than the average person, or not, but if you are that way then its better to make mistakes here online, and learn, than to do it in your real life. So hang in here, and toughen yourself up :) !

I make plenty of boneheaded mistakes in real life too.

Oh well, nobody is perfect especially me. So I'm trying to at least be less judging of others nowadays. It makes me feel better when I don't judge people.

Yes, especially after a course of antibiotics and my AS symptoms are going wild.. then I am an idiot. But once my gut is back to being balanced after a few weeks and I've recovered I go back to being a little more savant than idiot - or at least NTish enough to blend in with NT's to the extent that they just think I'm slightly weird maybe, but don't know I'm on the spectrum.

Literally only one person I've met in the last ~5 years picked up on it, and that's because my symptoms were acting up And he has an autistic brother. Most people I've met in the last 5 years don't even know I'm on the spectrum, and of the few I've told most were surprised to hear it.

Sooo, I only am, and feel like, an idiot every once in a while - not all the time like 6 years ago when my symptoms were life crippling.

I'm always doing idiotic things. So yes I often feel like an idiot. Most if not all of us do at quite regular intervals.

Luckily I do smart things as well and that makes me feel better. I lack common sense at times, but know a lot of useless statistics and information!
