I've been on here pretty much all day apart from a couple hours when I had an exam at uni. :)

0. I found out earlier today that we have to put Tom Cat down soon. It was supposed to be tomorrow, but now he's eating and we want to wait for my dad to say goodbye...so it might be Monday, since the vet's isn't open on Sunday. But if he stops eating again, he'll be in pain on Sunday, and that's not fair to him... There's no chance of saving him either. Both of his kidneys have gone bad, and his pancera (spelling? whatever) is the worst. There is surgey, but he's not strong enough for it... He's our rescue cat, and we thought that we had managed to save him, but I guess not.
I don't know if we're going to put him down tomorrow or Monday. On one hand, I would prefer tomorrow. What if he does get worse and goes into more pain? Plus I hate dragging things out...but I feel really guility about that too. On the other hand, if we wait until Monday, we'll have a few more days to spend with him, and I really do like him. And Dad will get to see him again... we knew he was bad, but not that bad... and Dad was the one who went and rescued him in the first place...
My dad is off on a business trip, and my brother is at a friend's for the night, so it's just Mom and I around here... She doesn't really want to make the decision, so she wants me to help... but I don't know what I want, and I don't know what's right.

I went and walked barefoot across the loose, prickly gravel driveway a few minutes ago since I was going numb. Back to reality but maybe I shouldn't be.

Thanks. We're going to put him down tomorrow morning for sure now.

I know what you're feeling. I hate period cramps, and they just seem to bring every negative thing with them.

Hope you cope ok with the cat...remember having to have one of mine put down and it was painful.

Periods to me are the ultimate in 'what the hell was God thinking when he made woman?'

Thanks. We'll see. I'll be there with him when he goes, so at least he won't be alone. We put down one of the dogs a couple years ago. I was a little hysterical beforehand and for about two hours afterwards, but that was it.

As for periods - screw childbirth, periods were the real curse. :)

2 - Behind on my work timetable. Considering I barely had time to breathe as thing were, I'm stuffed. I have 2000 words on gender in film to write tomorrow. Crud.
