I feel like I've just wasted so much time. I can't believe I've gone so long without playing a gig, my relationship ended, and I feel mentally traumatised by things I keep doing. OCD is rife in me but I've been pretty rotten myself. I've played one gig recently in a spell of many many months, and the girl I think I love is away from me for now at least...

This sucks.

Grieving has a purpose. Don't deny yourself the process. You will feel better, but not now. Now is the time for retreating and licking your wounds.

Every failed relationship, while painful at the time, can teach you something valuable. I have been through painful breakups, and one thing that they have taught me, is never to take a friendship or serious relationship for granted. (Not saying that you did, however. ) So, allow yourself grieving time, and remember that no matter what happened, you are still a worthwhile person, with good things to bring to a relationship.
