Emotionally, I am pretty well today. I actually was social and helped out at my church for their haunted house, tried to mingle (didn't do so well, but no one got mad at me) and helped out without being told what to do after it was done, so that was a success.

But as I said, I feel like crap. I have a cold. It started on Thursday evening with a sore throat, and I was hoping it was because I was playing in dusty computers. I played with them again on Friday, and felt worse. My nose was stuffed and I was sneezing. Today I woke up with a full blown cold and it is really... blah. It took all my energy to go to church today, and I really made an effort to stay away from people. Although people told me most everyone in the church has had it already. I guess it is my turn. I just do not want this to turn into bronchitis. When I have bad colds, it usually does that. If it is really bad, it will turn into pneumonia. I don't want that to happen. ugh. I need someone to come over and knock me out. I am tired, but can't sleep... Wah.

Around here there's a chest cold going around. I'm over it now, but it felt like when my asthma gets bad. I don't have attacks, but my throat and chest burn, like a cross between lactic acid and heartburn, as I had misdiagnosed it for most of my life.

Even this year's flu shot made me feel sick for about a day. Just drink fluids, manage your symptoms and rest, and I'm sure you'll be fine in a few days.

i guzzle "airborne" [or emergen-C] and take vitamin C and echinacea and zinc at the first hint of illness. so far it has worked except for the one time every decade or so when some monster bug gets me and reduces me to having to be carted to the ER for IVs and painkillers.
