I had a similar experience in the 8th grade. The limited group of people I considered to be my friends turned their backs on me. They refused to talk to me. They reminded each other if one of them "forgot" that I "didn't exist." They made my life a living hell. The ringleader, yeah, I'd still love to just knock him out cold. Of the rest, one of them was blackmailed into it, and after a time I was able to forgive him. We're still pretty good friends now, even though we're going to college in different states and he has since moved from our hometown. (His parents moved.)
Not everyone is like that. There
are good people out there, and I know that doesn't help much just to read that, but just be patient. It sucks, and doesn't seem very fair, but there's no real way to rush the good people into your life.
