I'm having something weird going on right now. I've been stimming a lot and it's almost as though I'm like a classic autistic right now because I've been repeating what I've been saying over and over again. I'm having trouble focusing. I couldn't even watch the TV and repeating lines from the TV. I've been pacing back and forth and just saying um, yeah and ok a lot. It's pretty strange. Is it some kind of meltdown or something. I'm surprised my brother hasn't noticed because of my strange behaviors. I have been under a lot of stress lately. I'm even having trouble writing this message because I can't focus. Just trying to figure it out.

It sounds to me like the symptoms are probably being triggered by stress. It could be a meltdown. My meltdowns are a lot more mental than physical. My son has meltdowns that involve a lot of screaming and slamming and throwing things. Mine are quite the opposite, more like what you're describing.

When I'm under a lot of stress, my brain gets to a point where it's just completely overloaded and can't process anything else or 'plug in' to function and accomplish anything. I zone out or pace/wander aimlessly around the house or rock back and forth sitting at the computer. Maybe you're experiencing something similar.

Sounds like a lot of stress coming to the surface in a sudden.

Find a nice spot in your house. Breathe, breathe deep, move your breathing to your nose. Not fast breathing. Close your eyes and try to focus them both right between them but just a little high. relax your body, might have to do it area by area on your body. Keep your back striaght. Just keep your closed eyes focused on that spot. Feel the breathing. Be conciouus of it. Do it for a while to till you get relaxed. Takes practice, but try it. If you have relaxing music it might help a little.

Ok, I think I've got it under control now.

A quit place, low lights and gentle stretching.(I think I used to "stim"....it was called excercising.)I'm not kidding. If could not sit in front of a tv or concentrate to read or do beading type crafts....I would start doing leg lifts,sit-ups,etc.I think it really helped.Hold the muscle tight for as long as you can, then let it relax and repeat until your tired. Then try more stretching and controlled breathing.Try and not hold onto..."oh,my god,I'm going insane"thoughts and just focus on the feeling in your muscles as you tighten and relax them. This to shall pass......is a good mantra to repeat.
