I don't know, my dad was gonna fly in and visit but the snow cancelled his flight, and I was just kinda like, you know disappointed but really didn't feel that upset. And things like wars in the Middle East, animal cruelty, pedophilia ... honestly none of it makes me see red, I've just come to accept we live in a flawed and often ugly world and why bother getting angry about it? I guess you could just say I'm desensitized and cynical because it seems like most people will gladly be cruel if they feel they have a reason to be.

Indeed sometimes I get annoyed at how sensitive and vindictive people are because I feel like being emotional does not necessarily mean you're truly compassionate.

The last thing I really got upset about was this girl I really like telling me she was really serious about this other guy but even then, I didn't cry or anything. Honestly it was a lot more depressing and upsetting to me than when my grandma or our dog died. Am I a sociopath or something or is this normal behavior? :?

I'm starting to feel the same way at times and must ask you if you suffer from depression (if you don't mind me asking) ...
