When I am overwhelmed, I get anxiety, stress, and the feeling of wanting to get out of there along with usually covering my face and closing my eyes while rubbing my face along with a burning feeling in my neck and my ears , dry or sore throat, , then comes irritation (crankiness and biting anyone or anythings head off) and lack of "common sense" and my executive functioning goes out the window.Nothing makes sense and it is more difficult to follow instructions. There is that feeling of wanting to yell and/or break or throw something against a wall or punch a wall....in extrem cases hyperventalation and wanting to cry comes in.

ALBERTAN...and DAMN PROUD OF IT!!
My mind fades out, I just lose control and start to panic, scream, cry, shout, bang myself or walls, table etc when I'm at home or there is nobody around. I have more control at places like school cos I don't wanna attract attention and not everybody will understand why an 18 year old is throwing a 'temper tantrum' it's OK when you're younger but not as a young adult. However at home I can let rip cos there is either nobody, or just my mum around. That's when things get serious. I guess it's kinda like being possessed cos though I'm witnessing it happening, it's not me. Though I have never been possessed and don't know what it's like, it's as if someone else is reacting for me.

Most obviously I stop making any sense to those around me. My thoughts can no longer be put into actions, most often the opposite of the thought is brought out in action against my control (such as thinking one thing and saying another) or short-term memory loss. My voice gets high pitched, my hearing goes wonky, cold sweats and many more, you guys know them. I shut down I have to remove myself from people to recover. I usually work on a project (home repair, mow the lawn, wash my truck, fetch with my dogs) that sort of thing (calm focus) helps me.

i become unable to form coherant sentences...then I might become very irritable...I will hang up on people on the phone.....I might go very stiff...I might let out a little scream....I might abruptly walk away from the source of the overwhelmedness if possible....I might start saying the same phrase over and over again......while pacing back and forth.......different reactions depending on the circumstance.
