As a child, I ate each of the dishes of my meal separately and in full. I did this untl about 10 years ago, I'd say.

I eat plain tortilla chips and plain hot dogs. I've been told that is a bit strange.

Meat fats make me gag and probably always will.

I only eat one thing at a time and I don't like it when my food mixes or touches. always been that way. I also tend to arrange fruit gummies or skittles by colour since I like to eat certain flavours first.. I usually arrange them from the ones I like least then save the best for last. I used to not even eat the ones I hated. With skittles it was the green, yellow and orange. I'd just pick out the red and purple ones. I'm still really picky though.

my family accuses me of putting butter/margarine on everything.

It's not /everything/. I don't put it on fruit for example. Or cake. Or ice cream. Just things like soup, meat, vegetables, noodles, rice, chinese foods.

People tell me i'm weird because I like pizza and pasta / kraft dinner for breakfeast.

Other than that I don't eat fish , seafood or porc. (other things too of course but those are the main 3 groups)
Also, I hate salad / lettuce it get so annoyed when eating it. Feels like chewing on wet paper ....

My family have always commented on how i usually eat one item at a time. It never really occurred to me to eat a bite of one thing and then a bite of something else... It wouldn't bother me to do so, but it makes more sense to me to finish one and then move on to the next.. So i usually do that, unless it's something that i actually like mixed together(and in that case i mix them, not take a bite of one then the other). And there are particular food textures that i don't like very much, but not as much now as when i was little. I've acquired a taste/feel for some of the things i didn't like.. But I was mostly very picky about the meat i would eat, because any kind of slippery, gristly, fatty, etc. parts would bother me.. I'm a vegetarian now, though, so that's not an issue anymore. I hate milk by itself, it's just icky, but i have no problem having it with cereal and milkshakes and stuff. I also eat very fast compared to other people i know.. I eat like a wild animal or something sometimes. I'll do some sort of odd things like, for example, when i eat spaghetti i usually get some in my fork and hold it up with the noodles hanging down and eat it from the bottom up. And i definitely over-eat.. I have no self control at all.

Actually my only weird eating habits are: that any given month my shopping list is exactly the same: so much peanut butter, so many loaves of french bread, even the pizza I order once in awhile is ALWAYS the same toppings!! Same amount of soda, same three favorite candy bars, 3 dozen bananas, etc.! !! !

I have spent many years trying different foods in the past (when I was an adventurous cook) l but by now I actually know what I like and I continue to eat the same stuff again and again.

BTW during meals I NEVER eat just one thing then move on - I HAVE to mix them in my mouth.

Well, I'm not particularly embarrassed about it. I think I just preferred to eat the same thing until it was gone and not have to deal with the various palettes mixing as I bounced back and forth between foods.

I still do it to some extent, but it's no longer an absolute.

Well, whenever I have ketchup, I usually save a little bit for the end so I can eat it by itself. My food-eating is very picky, as there are a lot of foods I refuse to eat. Also, there are certain meals that I have to eat in a certain order. And whenever I eat at restaurants, it's always chips, with either pizza, a cheeseburger or chicken nuggets. And always with a Coca-Cola.

I'm insanely picky and generally only eat junk food :P I also never eat breakfast food, and if I'm eating with a spoon, I usually "inhale" the contents off of it without putting the spoon in my mouth.

Also, I like to eat straight icing out of the can, but that might just be because we never have any sugary snacks around except for that.

Ive always wanted to do that but my parents never let me do it lol. And now I would be scared to eat that much sugar.

I like my sandwiches cut on a diagonal. So that the pieces are triangles and not rectangles.

I used to get upset when my mum made my sandwich and it was not cut right.

I think that this is a good way to eat a sandwich as it is easier to start eating at the corners of the triangle piece.

In any event - it just looks right.

I've done that before.

Anyone familiar with snow cones? Anyone ever try drinking the concentrated cherry syrup for making snow cones straight from the bottle? Not recommended. :eew:
