1) I feel different everyday.
2) Yes but not only that. There are other problems that make me different from the average person.
3) Yes they are frequent. They used to affect my daily life and worsen my depression but since getting treatment for that it's not been as bad.

The year is still young.
Now that it's been confirmed I'm autistic I feel different all the time. Before I just felt quirky, and only disabled when in groups of people I didn't know. I've had problems with relationships, but I didn't see my part in it. And I thought everyone was as confused about feelings as me.
I have no doubt autism is making me odd. But odd in itself isn't bad. However, I think autism is the reason I'm out of sync and also why I can't relate well enough to have very many friends. That saddens me. I might be able to make friends, but even so I can't relate to most people and end up bored. I wish I could be more interested in people. My relationships are far and few, but I still have had moments of feeling connected and I want more of them. I see other people enjoying each other and I wish I could do the same. But I rarely 'click' with people, and when it happens I don't know what to do about it. So I stick with my family, my fiancée and my kids, and occasionally 1-3 friends. It wouldn't be sad if I didn't feel deprived.
My feelings come and go. Sometimes I can't tell what they are. Often I can't tell what caused them. I always analyze them, but I suspect I don't have enough facts to draw accurate conclusions so I considering trying to give that up. I wouldn't say Im run by my emotions, but they certainly affect me every day.

Wow, I've come across so many people here on the forum that are married or going to be and have kids, and I think that is great. I found out I had asperger's late in life; if I had found out earlier I think I might be able to deal better and find the right person, but it amazes me that people who are on the spectrum are able to find the right person-- (I really can't, I've tried and no relationship seems to work. I guess I just don't get it and I understand so much less now that I admit that I'm not on the same level.) I don't think you should feel deprived, although it's none of my business, but to me your life seems well-balanced, fiancee kids friends -- done! It seems like a nice life.
I've felt so awkward and different from when I was little, even in kindergarten, and I just wish I'd known about Aspg, but also that there was a way of coping besides bashing myself into conversations or situations or friendships where I knew I wouldn't fit, but I kept trying anyway and I feel so embarrassed I guess, that I ever tried any of that. I feel like I kind of humiliated myself in front of people I wanted to impress in some idiotic way.
Do I feel different? Yeah, although I'm sorry I'm not answering the questions exactly as they were asked. It's not that I'm not right, it's that I am not in the right place. I have always tried to say that there is strength in difference, but it is easier to deal with some days than others.
I realize I'm fortunate as an aspie, less fortunate compared to NT's. I was diagnosed fairly recently, so I still have a tendency to compare myself to the latter.
My advice is to be really openminded about prospective partners. My fiancée was an unexpected choice, if viewed from the outside, as he's more than twice my age. I typically get along better with people that people like me (in terms of age, gender etc) typically don't get along with.
And I have four siblings. Don't have to watch myself so much around them, they already know I'm weird and are fine with it.
i've always felt different, slightly out of sync. i always suspected there was something different about my "wiring," partially because my learning patterns were so strange. now that i know about AS, i have a framework at least for the social "oddness" and the learning differences.
i don't think people immediately recognize me as autistic----they tend to say i'm quiet, or "spacy" or withdrawn, etc. i don't feel a reflected difference on that level, i guess---that others can immediately recognize my AS. but i do feel very separate. in any social situation, i'm usually trying to understand what's going on, and that takes a lot of effort. it's slightly alienating too---there isn't the intuitive social flow that most people seem to have.

3) Does your feelings frequent, and they affect your daily life
Answers:
1) Yes, most of the time. I knew that I was different before I knew that I had Asperger's.
2) Yes, it's because I've got Asperger's.
3) It depends on what you're asking. Being different doesn't have to affect your life if you don't let it. Nonetheless, there are things you'll find harder than other people will. It's a matter of overcoming it.
