Assessment too short?

Well I hope that my appointment too is only to give a first impression. I'm planning to get a diagnosis for ADHD too and was wondering whether I could do that in the same assessment.
The testing covers a wide range of different possibilities that may apply to you. It's not really testing with one specific hypothesis in mind and looking for a result of you have it or you do not. In my Dx report it listed that they were also checking me for schizoid pd, avoidant pd, ocd, social anxiety, anti social pd, generalized anxiety, paranoia, depression, etc. etc.
At the end of this you may end up with more than one diagnosis. That happened to me. Don't be surprised if your diagnosis turns out to be something different than you expected from your own self assessment. We are not impartial critics of ourselves, this is why professional assessment is important. What matters is that you get the help you need to improve your life in some small way.
