Not at all. I don't usually read YouTube comments because they're typically nonsensical or otherwise pointless flamewars. But I was enthusiastic about some of the changes like the removal of limit-cap to characters. Unfortunately, things don't seem to have changed much. All I'm seeing now is Bob spam everywhere. Maybe the poor-quality comments are perpetuated by YouTube's culture and aren't a result of a poorly handled comments system. With any luck I hope it'll change for the better now.

You are still seeing SPAM, because the changes were not made to improve the comment system. In fact the changes made it worse. Google made the changes to force people to use Google+. It's just Google's way of trying to save an incredibly lame service, that they have invested a lot of money in. Personally I think it just makes Google look desperate. Google should go back to being a search engine, and nothing more.

I would hope the Bob spam has died down, since it's already difficult enough to post a comment on Youtube anyway.

Bob and his tanks are everywhere. But i get what they are trying to do.

So far my personal experience has only been good, although it can be a bit overwhelming to see that you have 250+ replies or notifications up around that bell in the top right corner.

Sure i like to comment, but i dont always wanted to check everything people write back on youtube, because again many arent very nice people at all.

Seems one can do very little these days without being either prompted or required to link to or login through Google, Facebook, or Twitter. The intrusive clawing-for-dollars by those three is becoming tiresome.

Oh yeah, and they also changed the Google outlook too, though this happened a while ago. I remember when the panels for "images" and "maps" were all lined on the top in gray, and now they're all condensed in this one square in the top right corner of the page.

I don't. I love the Bob SPAM. They are exposing what a failure the new comment system is. Even if the Bob SPAM does die down, the problems with the comment system will still be there for other people to exploit.

Plus, some of the Bob SPAM comments are the funniest things I've seen on YouTube in a long time. IMHO

I don't bother with youtube comments - I only go on there to watch the occasional music video. I do think it has gone downhill after google took over - the adverts are getting more obtrusive all the time.

TBH I dislike Google anyway and have long since deleted my Google account. Google+ was the final straw for me - when they started to send me emails telling me about posts by people I didn't even know or care about. I decided the intrusiveness was too much for me. I don't want google mail, Google shopping became irrelevant the moment they expected companies to pay to be listed. And even the famous google search algorithm is now so corrupted by advertising priorities that I have to wade through pages of results before I find what I was searching for.
