I agree. Once I stopped trying so hard to fit in as advised by my diagnostician, peace reigned.

Society is for me nowadays like the supermarket / grocery store / doctor's. A place I don't particularly enjoy going to but need to periodically in order to secure my existence.

I get my food delivered thankfully, not that I could carry it anyway, in fact, I don't need to go out unless its to the hospital or the occasional meet with friends. Its got to be desperate before I even go out to the shop - and thats usually for cake! Can't have my afternoon tea without cake :D

Well, the problem is even though I feel like I despise society, I'm still incredibly lonely. It kills me. I feel like I need to go out into “society” to find the stimulation I need, yet it’s never quite fulfilling. At least not fulfilling enough to make up for the effort I must put in to it. I’m never am able to relate completely with anyone.

It's the same for me. I find I enjoy very much some things that humans make - such as music, architecture, etc. so I nowadays tend to connect more to man-made stuff than to man himself.

ya, i have this uncanny ability to be in a crowded room and feel completely alone and isolated.

i can actually get some satisfaction sometimes from the effort i put in. problem is, i don't know what or how much effort to put in so either i A) over do it, which creates a while nuther set of problems or B) experience paralysis and do nothing.
