I might spend a day reading urban legends or paranormal stuff, even though that stuff always freaks me out by nighttime. 8O

Always been interested in the Paranormal. I was fascinated with UFO's back when I was a lad in the sixties. I'd save up me pennies to buy paperback books about UFO's. I had very early editions of Adamski's books. I still look at the Forteantimes website.

There is a mentally disturbing video on youtube that makes me laugh everytime I see it. I would post it, but I'm taking into consideration that some people are frightened by clowns.

Serial killers. I'm facinated by them and how they think. All murders and crime shows too. Most Evil is an awesome show for that obsession. It used to worry my parents comming home with books on the profiling, or on interviews, or some other aspect of criminal forensics.
I used to be into mummies, but not so much anymore.

The Seattle area is kind of bad for having alot of serial killers, must be something in the water.
I am into UFO's not so much into alien abduction story's, I have a hard time believing alot of those story's,
I have seen 2 UFO's while growing up in the Edmonton area, there were hundreds of sightings near the city
in the mid to late 60's

I think that clowns are very disturbing, or disturbed; either way:

While walking down the road one day,
I met a possum on my way.

It looked up at me, eyes so blank,
Void of knowledge, dim and dank.

Its fur was dirty grayish-brown,
Wet and matted on the ground.

Its tail, laid out, looked like a worm,
But did not move, no, would not squirm.

Its legs so stiff, they would not bend,
They would not run, would not defend.

Its mouth agape in silent scream,
As if in horrid, dreadful dream.

Blood had pooled around its waist,
Its guts, strewn out, had turned to paste.

A dreadful smell from it, quite bold,
It had been dead for time untold.

So in fascinated awe, I stood,
And watched the maggots do some good.

In morbid thought and evil sway,
I watched the rotting corpse decay.

And composed a poem of dreadful rhyme,
Quite strange and twisted, in my mind.

i wrote this poem when i was about 15 or so..

i've always been fascinated by mummies and death. i have a collection of random animal bones, and sticks that look like bones... and i even have a mummified frog in my room.. i've gotten weird looks before for staring mesmerized at maggots digging through roadkill... >_>

one of my friends has 2 pickled kitten fetuses... which is horrible, and all.. (poor kittens.. :( ) but still.. fascinating!! :D

I thoroughly enjoyed your poem Nicky. However, I must say I am not a big fan of watching maggots. When younger I did put dead animals in jars with holes in the lids. After burying the jar underground, the maggots did the work, and I dug up some nice skeltons at a later date. With a little bit of bleach the skeltons looked fantastic!

When I was six I met my first imaginary friends... a wolf and a vampire bat. It kind of went on from there. Anything to do with morbidity and mortality fascinates me- serial killers, curses, poisons. biochemical warfare. Finally, my course is getting interesting: we had a lecture on the flesh eating strep this morning!! :D
