yes, I have concentration issues and focusing issues and a bad memeory.

yes, I am very odd, and have a high obsession with science, recycling, and raccoons. Or as I like to call it, the three R's. research, recycling, and raccoons.

yes, I wear long dresses all the time that would have been worn by people 100-200 years ago and i don't care about hygene, or matching, etc. and I cannot wear many types of clothing because the feel weird, and uncomfortable.

yes, i am socially ignorant, and don't really care, and I don't have any literal "friends".

yes, I don't feel sympathy or empathy that much

yes, I can spend hours upon hours doing the thee R's with little breaks.

Yes, i even have allergies

But I feel as if I am over-reacting the whole thing, as if it is not as bad as I am making it seem, or thinking I am making it seem. not lying, but making it sound worse than it really is... or maybe I am just over-analyzing it all. I literally tried to find out the height of the stairs of the space needle by calculating the height from the base-ment to the viewing platform and dividing it by the number of stairs. All the information received from a bookmark.

I think you sound charming and delightful. I love research (science) and raccoons too. I'd also wear old timey dresses if it didn't cause so much staring at me. So long as you're not harming yourself or other people, I don't see why anyone should consider you not to be just fine how you are. I'm very happy with myself despite being odd. I think you should be happy with yourself too.

Have you taken an official IQ test? Gifted people tend to differ a bit from the norms.

No, not yet, I have taken a few officalish online ones, and they always tell me that I am anywhere from 121-127

I've studied IQ testing and its history and it's possible that the tests you've taken are normed on an older online population, which would have the effect of reducing your IQ score. If it's iqtest.dk, then I'd expect a reduction of somewhere between 20 and 25 points.

This is very convincing now. So you're saying that my original score of 115 on that test is actually a 135 or a 140? And I didn't have enough time to finish it? I know I'm far more intelligent than the average person, but I'm far from genius too.

Although, that wouldn't make much sense. The Flynn effect makes IQ scores appear higher than they really are, not the other way around.

Ummm... no, not that one... but I did take about 5, and they all scored within the 120-130 range. And my older brother took the same test and got below and 100... I guess that would mean that he got a 70-80....

On adults, it appears that iqtest.dk underestimates ones nonverbal IQ by about 15 points. Since 16 years olds perform a little less well than adults, on average, I'm just guessing an additional 5 points or so to adjust for the age.

The flynn affect is a problem with taking tests normed a long time ago (Like the stanford-binet L-M which was normed in 1972, which is commonly used to discriminate between the highly gifted and profoundly gifted despite the high proportion of ridiculously high scores nowadays.), but it's not a problem for recently normed tests, so the flynn affect doesn't affect iqtest.dk.

19 is fairly close to 16. I was just guessing because you live with your family and you talk to your school friends and you kind of sounded "16".

Anyway, random online IQ tests are crap. Most of the ones I took suggested my IQ was somewhere around 125-135 but, funnily enough, the official IQ test was about 15 points higher. You think it'd be the other way around...
