Ideally people need a picture of them self (that can be change often). But your right they need to stick to one avatar if they expect people to remember them from post to next post.

It gets bad if they vary em too much... but the better ones stick to a theme... I like that.

I'm going to change mine... but it'll always be a Hawaiian shirt pattern... so you'll know it's me.

My avatar isn't my face... it's like my clothes...

Lot of people on here have that NT trait. Changing their avatars. Mine has been the same for the past 7 months. I forget when I put mine up. So NT of me.

Ok, I was one of those who has changed my first avatar for another, but because I wasn't sure at first and I was still a very recent member ! ! But I promise I won't change it anymore ..

I was just thinking that people needed to not change their avatars the other day. It really does get confusing.

Yeah, tell me about it. There's some members on here that change their avatars, like, every day or two! Seriously, is there even a good reason to do this?

Curioser and curioser... I am curious to know just how changing an avatar is an NT trait, lol? I did not notice 'stable forum avatars' listed in the DSM criteria.
I would have thought it would be more an ADD trait myself.

Is there any good reason not to?

But your avatar is very cool because Benny & Joon is an awesome movie...I've watched it tons of times over the years. I finally got my husband to watch it with me last week and he really liked it. :D

And calling the frequent changing of avatars an "NT trait" is a load of crap.

In your opinions, are all unfavourable characteristics that humanity possesses "NT traits"?

As opposed to admirable characteristics, which are invariably "Autistic/Aspie traits"?

There is no such thing as an Aspie trait, or an NT trait. There are only human traits.

We are all human. Get used to it.

And stop discriminating against those who are in some way different from you. After all, isn't that an NT trait?

Ok, I just changed my avatar about 10 minutes before I read this thread. I can't find the URL to my old avatar...

It was pink and purple diagonal stripes with "proud vegan" written on it in white. It had the website "peta2.com" written on the bottom of it.

I will keep this one from now on, if it confuses people when others change them.
