Do you dislike it when people hide the truth from you?
It really bothers me when people don't tell me the truth. I don't mean completely lying, but saying something that is partially true, sort of. For example, today, I asked my friend a question and they answer turned out to be the one I didn't want to hear. When I asked, she answered "I don't know", even though she knew the answer. This type of thing bothers me, I wish people would just answer honestly, instead of giving me this uncertain answers. If something bad is going to happen, I would prefer to know that it going to than be uncertain about it. I don't want people to say things like "That is the worst shirt I have ever seen" or anything, no, they don't need to do that, I just wish they would say "I am not really fan of that shirt" or something like that.
Does this bother anyone else?
Yes it does. But at least they don't want to lie but they still are by saying they don't know. At least they aren't giving you an answer they think you want to hear. But too many people out there ask a question and then get upset when they get an answer they didn't want to hear. Now people are too afraid to even be honest because they don't know if you are playing that game or not. Plus I am also suspecting people don't know how to answer honestly without offending so they keep their mouths shut or lie about not knowing.
Yes it bugs me I asked my coworker one day if he had talked to this other coworker and he said he hadnt spoken to him at all-I go by the place the other coworker was at and the first coworker was there having lunch with him-I was lied to-one of the support groups I go to the facilitator says "say what you mean and mean what you say" I live by that motto.

No Pain.-No Pain!! !!
If you consider the world to be a positive place, then "I don't know" is a kind way of saying "no, the shirt doesn't look good." You just have to assume that your friend will always remain vague like that when they don't want to hurt your feelings. So the first thing you should perceive is that your friend doesn't want to hurt your feelings, so they said it vaguely. They wanted you not to have to feel bad if you were like them. So then, knowing they didn't say you look fantastic or great, you know you have to change your shirt and try a different one. Think of this as a time to bond and get feedback and input and practice getting it right. People love to give their opinions, so give it a try if they have the time.
It is, that I ask questions to people, which are not "appropriate" or where they do not know the answer to, because then they have to think too hard about it and therefore they do not give an answer to it or no "clear" answer.
But that I know just since I was getting dx'ed and I go to therapy to someone specialized in autism and before I did not know, because of lack of "non-autistic common sense" and no good T.O.M.-qualities (failed Sally and Anne-Test).
So now I understand better, if people do not give a "clear" answer, but it does not change my way of asking "inappropriate" questions or questions, where they do not know the answer to.
Because before I realize I already did.
