I meant "lost", yes.

How should we fix it?

Not sure there is a 'fix'.

1. Difficult to work out where a sentence is going, when concentrating on one letter at a time. Can't see the 'big picture'. A bit like trying to work out what the tree looks like by looking at one leaf at a time.

2. People (especially those who inhabit this sort of forum?) seem reluctant to participate in following the most obvious 'flow' of a word. The attempt to make things 'challenging' for the next poster usually results in a word (sometimes not even that) which derails the sentence, making no sense in respect of meaning or grammatical coherence.

Just a couple of observations from the observatory.

I'm only concerned about the last word, which I hoped would turn out to be "percent"...
