I am writing a book about Asperger;s and living with it. I hope that telling my story will help society understand Asperger's better. Let me know your opinion. Thanks.

If you want to write a book, I would say that you should look into why you want to write it. I am an author myself, and I spent about 6 months writing, "Tech Tactics Money Saving Secrets." I originally wrote the book because a friend of mine kind of goaded me into it. Everyone who reads the book that I know of said that they like it. However sales have not been great. After some research, I found out that the average author sells only about 10 books. What I am saying is that if you hope to make good money writing books, that is likely not going to happen - at least for your first book. If you are writing the book to inform people about what it is like to live with Apsergers, then you may want to consider putting the same content in a blog or other format online.

You can write a great book and have it out there and only sell a few copies. The fact is with today's ease of publishing, many books are released every week. What are you going to do to make your book stand out among the approximately 5500 released every week in the P.S.A. alone? Then again, a published book looks good on a resume too.

Knowing what I know about the book market, I am continuing to write. In fact, I hope my new book, "Tech Tactics Computer Repair Secrets," Will be ready to publish by the end of August. I want to write about five book before I really make up my mind about how the market will treat my work.

You shouldn't level down to the niveau of this minority culture.

We all shouldn't. I think something like that rather annoys otherones, at least me, because then it will
someday be a stereotype that we are one of the "look at me, I'm missunderstood, society says you aren't allowed to treat me badly and everything you do will be associated with my aspergers so people will hate you because you hurt the poor minority guy" people, like for example black people are in America, Jewish people are in Europe, gay people are all over the world, women are all over the world and of course disabled people are all over the world. The day this will be the case, I will have to hide my aspergers syndrome to save my dignity.

I don't think that terms like "sexism", "racism", "discriminating" etc. make anything better. They make exclusion much worse and in fact lead to the formation of unbelieveable unnecessary parties who don't stand for a point of view but just for the war which race or sex or mental state is poorer and has to be preferred in financial or social things.

You all should keep on going your own way for you are made to be unique. In addition it would be very sad if someday each aspergian would be identified with a story one single person wrote.
