Humboldt Candles Book
Here is how I want to write my book and I already have an editor with a English degree.
1. Online people with a form of autism advocated about many similar things. Some was about employment, independent living and in general being better integrated. Unlike ADD and other conditions autism cannot be treated with pills. The whole person at times needs support and that's why some advocated for services that in some circumstances pre-existed in other states in the U.S. Services for social and occupational integrations and or just to get out of the house and not just for helping one work.
2. In employment advocacy not many employers are open-minded to giving a person with autism a chance because they fear what they do not understand. Also if someone lacks certain skills they are not patient enough or open minded enough so that when supportive job coaches are available for free they don't bother. That's why Compassionate Integrations was created so that people with autism and other similar enough developmental related disabilities could form there own and run there own accommodating employment organizations with the help of trained professionals. People with autism vary and some need less help then others while some evidently none at all. Humboldt Candles is part of the Compassionate Integrations (C.I) organization which was founded by an autism self-advocate.
3. Forming disability ran organizations and with the help of others with disabilities and those without disabilities is part of the rights set forth in the California Latternman act and our constitutional rights. I believe what I call the Disability To Work Industry (D2W Industry) has a long way to go to become more feasible and to help more people. Unlike other industries that compete against one another the D2W industry should work together. The Walmarts and other large corporations would never really, other then on the surface want to see people with disabilities empowered like this because their bottom line is money. Whereas the D2W industry in it's true form is about helping one another have more freedoms, like to save money when the government does not allow this, own our own homes and have a future of more hope and potential.
4. Humboldt Candles is just one of many different kinds of products and services people with substantial disabilities (As the federal government defined) could work for and even develop. Humboldt Candles is about employing people that participate in day work programs in Humboldt County and whom have autism and other developmental disabilities. Another example of a service is lawn care and house cleaning teams. Another product could be locally made air fresheners for cars and the home. While these product and services provide some income to participants the D2W industry would have to become much more popular, accepted and efficient to provide sustain gainful employment when self-sufficiency is derived from intr-industry facilitators and not mainstream employment integrations.
