I've pretty much given up on the whole dating thing.

I'm too weird, too thin, too "atheist"' apparently, etc etc

So I've thrown myself into building my business a little more, and my special interests.

The really cool thing is that it really doesn't bother me that much - I'm having fun rediscovering all the things I shoved aside to find a relationship.

I'm sure this feeling won't last forever, but it might be something my fellow Undateables might want to consider...

Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to spend a huge wad of money on something completely useless.

This is one of the funniest posts I've ever seen on WP. :D

On a serious note, I understand that feeling completely. I have never been in a real relationship due to my awkwardness, but have given up trying. Whenever I do try to talk to somebody I am usually turned down because of my awkwardness, which causes me to feel that much more hopeless.

Maybe it's because you have a different brain, a different heart. You've got tiger blood, man. :P

Is that a little nod/wink to Hale? I don't think being 'too' atheist would put off a majority.

I am glad to hear you're getting on with just having fun living. That's very attractive, if you ask me.

Maybe the woman of your dreams will ambush you while you're at it.

That is what I sometimes hope for. Maybe while living my life the way I do the woman of my dreams will just fall into my lap. Figuratively, of course. :P

That.

And a lot of time on my hands...

But seriously, I used to be really in to ocean sports (boating/fishing/diving) for example, but I completely forgot about doing them in favor of trying to find someone - you don't really meet a lot of women doing these things.

So many things to do besides chasing women! :)

Nothing wrong with that. Everything gets tiring after a while if you're not having any success, so move on to other things and don't worry about it. You can always change your mind later, and if you do, you may have new knowledge about yourself that will help you change your tactics and better assess potential relationships.

You have a job.

You have a house.

You have a car (4x4?)

And most importantly, you have 2 wonderful kids and I have the impression that you're taking good care of them.

Seriously, you don't need a woman. You've achieved important things that many wouldn't here.

Actually, I have:

A business (self-employed), No house: buying a house is like getting a vasectomy - too permanent!, and a kick-ass Jeep.

And I take care of my children very well materially, but I only get to see them every other weekend :(

But I still don't need a woman when there's so many fish waiting to be caught!

They are the only vehicle I will own - got to be ready when the zombies come - I will be driving over all those BMWs in my neighborhood while the occupants are getting their brains eaten...
