A close friend and I were partners in a business venture. Prior to that we had a very good friendship. But since I've left the business the conflicts between his business interests and the friendship are constantly at odds. I feel hurt when he choses his business over the friendship. I can't keep going on like this. Unfortunately he's one of the few friends I have. But I keep getting my feelings hurt. Is it time for me to end this friendship?

I don't think he was "choosing" his business over you, he's highly possibly gotten stuck in chaotic day by day have-to-deal-with things. When a person runs a business there are a lot things to care for. Don't personalize it.

It's not the time spent running the business. It's his loyalties to his board members who are also his friends versus his loyalties to me as a long-time friend.
