You weren't the abusive poster to which I referred, Spokane Girl, but in view of the bizarre PM's you've sent me, I guess you fit the description. :?

You don't really seem to get it. You keep complaining about Alex abusing you but you abused me in that thread so I am showing everyone you're just as bad as him. So why complain if you do the same thing?

Yeah, where's some of that nice Texan cuisine?

Do I think about leaving WP? Sometimes. But then I realise that I cannot help and support the people here if I were to up sticks. So I stay. For a while, anyway. :)

Yeah, I get annoyed by social hierarchies, bullies, random crooked moderating - this forum doesn't seem to be free from the worst traits of the NT stereotype - then I get annoyed at myself for having posted. I guess I've seen worse places but I get the feeling here people who are vulnerable kind of get indoctrinated and if people still don't agree with the mainstream crap they get treated like crap - nothing much happens to people making stupid threads exaggerating the virtues of AS but the sheer amount of venom aimed at the former is just ludicrous; some of the people doing the mobbing are apparently pretty old actually and should know better. . . So, basically, some of people who crash-landed here looking for answers might be suicidal but they might be helped or they might instead get harassed and ridiculed depending on how much they go along with the fad - and that's a huge red flag about this site as a whole.

People should not be treated like crap - on principle; regardless to whether they think AS should be cured or think self dxes are not serious or whatever. . . The implications of this go as far as meaning that moderators that do not agree with the views of someone being harassed should still then act to protect the diversity of viewpoints and weed out things 1-line posts that go "ROFL that's so stupid" and the like. . . Sheeple wanting to make cliques and play social games can do so at general purpose or gaming forums; there's never a shortage of that which is mainstream anyway. . .

Not too long ago, some guy opened a thread discussing his AS experience in metaphorical terms and people interpreting it literally and replying things in the vein of "lololl1 n00b demons don't exist omg howstoopid lol"; some moderators joined in to ridicule this person to the point that, not just me, but other members were actually alienated by this. That's just an example. . .

I guess I'll begin to move on once after my holidays - once I have grad school classes again and return to practicing the sport I want to practice. That, I guess, doesn't change the problem for others. . .

There are several types of Texas cuisine. Which kind did you have in mind?

The stuff that makes you fat and tastes great.

(Which probably means 'all of them'.)

We're best known for BBQ, but it's not always fattening. It's very good though.

Only just got here so not thinking of leaving. I've had some important questions answered sensibly and respectfully, so I can't complain about the people here either, and many of the articles have been very helpful. Its been an amazing experience to know I'm not the only one, and thats probably what I've got most from here.

I've noticed on other unrelated community forums that there's sometimes a (temporary) shift in tone towards more negative themes, but it doesn't usually last long, so maybe some of the things people are unhappy with will resolve themselves in time. There are also going to be things that people feel strongly about and isn't having a problem with what's socially acceptable part of the ASD problem anyway?

Finally, I also like to think that my experiences might be able to help others in my position at some point, so I'll also be staying around to try and give something back if possibl.e
