I get overloaded every time I'm in a grocery store. Too much stuff, too many (annoying) people, too many colours, too loud, I could go on. So, I have to make a list. I figure that if I had a seeing eye dog and blocked off my sight and hearing somehow, I could remember everything I went there to buy. Even when I go shopping for clothes or gifts I have to make a list, there are just to many distracting conditions when I shop anywhere for me to be completely mindful of why I'm there. I feel like a 'fish out of water'.
I know the feeling! And wanting to touch everything, and feel all the objects! I end up imagining myself wearing the soft fabrics or eating the delicious food. Sometimes it gets too much for me. Sometimes I have to sit outside and wait for my Mother to finish. I cannot stand shops where they have free samples.
As for the list, lists are a must.
