Do antidepressants cause you to care about things too much?
Since my insurance said they wouldn't cover sex reassignment surgery last year, even with my doctors saying I was ready, I fell into a long funk and had to go on disability. Just recently, however, to help with side effects of Seroquel, I have been put on Lexapro. I noticed after I started taking Lexapro that I began to care about whether I can get sex reassignment surgery again. Knowing how far away any potential surgery would be, caring about it is useless and just means painfully thinking about it again.
Has anyone else had this experience on antidepressants, where they started caring about stuff again?

It's caused me to be forced to think about sex reassignment surgery all day and I struggle to shake it. I doubt I will be able to get it anytime soon, so I want to bury this down deep, go back to not caring.
I guess I should just stop the antidepressant.
