I certainly did. Never at random or for no reason. It was always after a series of abuses inflicted upon me. Just like someone mentioned earlier.. it was ok for people to abuse and yes it's abuse folks different from them but when the abusie (sp) stands up for themselves it's not ok.

I'm happy to say I haven't had a violent outburst or been in a fight in over 17 years now and have no inclinition to do it again but sometimes people really do have it coming. Even if you do feel bad afterwards and they did have it coming, still doesn't make it right. :(

The problem is a whole catch-22. They tell you as a wee one, "Don't be a tattle tale" and then go on and tell you to talk to a teacher about these abuses.

I did a couple of times because I thought that was what boys where supposed to do, punch people in the face at the slightest provocation.

Funny though the respect it gets you, one became my best friend, the other relating how far he had been knocked along the corridor as if I had just performed some note-worth feat of a sporting nature, worthy of admiration I still have the scar on my knuckle.

Maybe it helped me not get bullied because it wasnt the real me as Iam a cowardly wimp inside who occassional tries to be brave.

I did a few times in high school cause I was angry at girls who had a lot of freinds, got tons of cards and roses on valentines day, and they didn't even have to work hard to earn freinds they just got them.
