Do you like analog clocks?

Those circle clocks that go on the wall and have an hour, minute, and second hand.

I must because I have three.

I like analog clocks as well (addition to digital).
Purely mechanical clocks are amazing for the ingenuity. That's where having grandfather clock would be nice.
Some analog clocks are electrical, but have an analog interface with a second, minute, and hour hand. Some are wall powered, battery powered, and I bet solar powered. Nuclear powered would be dangerous and overkill.

My two battery powered wall clocks sync themselves with NIST.

I love analog clocks, especially Big Ben.

I much rather digital clocks. I have some vision issues & the hands on analog can be confusing for my eyes. Even when I'm close & can see them just fine, it still takes my mind a few seconds to process what numbers they're on. That might be due to my dyslexia & related issues.

My parents really like having analog clocks in a couple rooms & outside & the analog clocks tend to have problems keeping the exact time. The mechanisms gradually start moving the hands a tiny bit slower. My parents replace the mechanisms periodically & sometimes even the new mechanisms can be half a second slower which gradually adds up.

Not particularly. I find it takes me more time to read them.

Yes Especially ones with roman numerals.

Perhaps, some day, Big Ben could show me around London.

I do if the numbers are big and easy to read and aren't Roman numerals. I have one in the kitchen and one in the living room.

I prefer analogue - because synoptic - when I just want to glance at something on the wall to track time passing, with a second hand to know it's going. The second hand can tick or sweep, but if it ticks it must make a nice tick noise.

Digital is better for precise synchronising, and I like that Tails OS has that on its Lock Screen, though I have to restore the "show seconds" setting (grr!).

Okay, spergsplain time! "Big Ben" isn't the clock face(s) (there's four of those), it's the bell that goes "Bong!" to count the hours. However, since "clock" comes from an old word cognate to Glock (German) and gloche (French), which both mean "bell", you're right in the end that Big Ben is a kind of clock. I wonder if because it counts rather than points, it is in a sense digital though?

Meanwhile, over in nearby Soho, you may find a willing escort calling himself "Big Ben" in one of the gay pubs there to show you around London. If you ask him "what's the time?", he may say "time is money, darling." /risque-humour
