I think you are looking at this all wrong. Instead of getting depressed thinking that everyone's life is better than yours you should look at it in a different light. Many people here are showing you that despite the difficulties we face it is possible to have a good life. At 39 my life has never been better but what you don't see is the 38 years of blood, sweat, tears, heartache and hard work it took to get there. Yes I went through hell because of AS but I didn't give up. I kept going and am now being rewarded beyond anything that my tormentors ever had or could hope to have. Did being an Aspie stop Bill Gates? Hell no it didn't. If you want it bad enough you can achieve it but it won't get handed to you on a silver platter.

That is good but one cannot hide from the less pleasant aspects of life forever. I think it is bad to run away from the things that remind us of what we want as then we don't have that little push to attain what we desire... might be rambling as my brain is in super fatigue mode, but that is my take.

I'm back now. I've had a long thought about this, and leaving is the best thing to do. I like WP, I really do, and leaving is just stupid. I am feeling a lot better about my life now, and hopefully now I'll be making less posts here in The Haven.

I know what you mean. I left for a whole year because it got to where there were too many negative people and it was affecting me too. I grew a little bit thicker skin in the meantime. Good luck, and I'm sure you've still learned much from your time here.
