They do it occasionally. When they do, I think it is usually for the sound effects.

I'm pretty sure that they didn't have bathrooms on Star Trek.

My brother once told me the Alfred Hitchcock movie Psycho was notable for showing a toilet in the bathroom, which was taboo in those days.

Boomers go on about how younger generations are too offended by everything, but when they were young seeing a toilet in a movie or on TV was offensive. :lol:
