Silly problems... forums, socialization. find myself always second guessing what i've posted. i find myself writing off on tangents.. is this related to the topic? is this acceptable?

if you are by any chance wondering why i'm even on a forum in the first place... seems like a good place to exchange info. also on nicoclub, but am by no means a regular poster. ah well...

have trouble with trolls and expressing myself. on anti-depressant that relieves some anxiety, but i still have some fears. so, communicating on the internet freaks me out a little. playing mmos with anyone other than my closest friends generally makes me spaz. unless i get to rp a quiet or childlike character, of course. and yes, i'm fully aware that none of you know who i am and that what you see is only what i present to you. but things seem to happen between me expressing myself and the other person's receptors. that may be the source of my anxiety right there, who knows. oh well. it's off my chest now. for now. not entirely but good enough for now.

posting here because it's "the haven" and i can only imagine that some form of metaphorical chai latte is involved. :)

Yes!...I do this also, or I post something or here or in the chat room whilst misunderstanding what someone means...only to realise what they really meant seconds later...and wind up sounding stupid :?

Sorry, that wasn't very helpful

What your saying makes a lot of sense to me. It's why I'm not as active on WP as I'd like to be.

I'm the same but try not to worry too much about it. There's without doubt a massive discrepancy between what's inside my head and what I manage to squeeze out but I presume a lot of folk here have the same problem.

The people here who never give others here a break and jump on every percieved mistake or weakness with glee because of their own insecurities are just c***s and can go f**k themselves  plese excuse my french.

I think it's sad that in a place like this people are afraid of expressing themselves.

This heavily pertains to me as well, as you can very well tell by my post count.

In my case I think it's a matter of over-stimulation. I generally enjoy the role of an observer, and when I actually engage in a "meeting of minds" it's just a bit too much.
After writing one post I'm usually so fretted that I'm virtually incapable of concentrating properly for the rest of the day as I over-analyze the interaction.

I'm not afraid of personal attacks though- I would probably just find that funny for some reason (not that I condone such behavior. Fie on you debauchers!).

Now after reading this-- by show of hands, who doesn't want to burn me at the stake?
I know I would, for making inane comments like these.

I am the same way or I used to be not long ago. I have gotten better about it. It would take 30 mins to an hour to make and send a simple hello through Myspace or something. Even then though I would worry about it for days later until they replied or well they don't.
