I finally read The Neverending Story.

I was curious why the author didn't like the film adaptation, and my boyfriend had a copy of the book so figured best way to find out was to read it. But yeah I guess the movie only tells half of the story and puts the ending where it doesn't belong and kind of change the moral of the story, and also Bastion was supposed to be a fat kid. So reading the book I can now kind of see why he was pissed.

I guess the sequel which somehow I saw that as a kid but not the original, loosely covers some of the second half but not well...but I'd have to watch it again to see where it fails since last time I watched that I was 10. Apparently a re-boot may be happening which would be cool, but not sure the author is still around to see a proper film adaptation of it.

It is sort of a movie about reading a book...
