You cannot live off of $100 a month . The Federal poverty line (which hasn't been revised since 1968, when a loaf of bread was 22 cents, a gallon of gas was 28 cents, a car cost $2,425, and a house; $24,600) is ten times more than you make. Even if you could make $12,000 a year (which is less than ...

I know that both are, probably, fictitious, (I know Richard the Lionhearted was real, because I'm a descendant of his.)
, and may have lived a couple of hundred years apart, but I'm wondering, based on some of the legends of both, how they'd have gotten along together.

Like I've said, I'd always make sure I was vaccinated myself, which is my defense against those who aren't. Everybody's happy. That in itself is a big red flag about these vaccines. If the 95% or so of people that got vaccinated can still be infected by the 5% that didn't, then what good is the vac...

I don't think it's illegal, per se, in that there's no way, unless it doesn't work, to actually punish anyone who breaks that law if they actually do it.

That said, I do support outlawing assisted suicide.

I work in the tech industry, something I had studied for and wanted for a long time. For a brief while I considered accounting because it sounded quiet, repetitive, and solid as far as job prospects and pay went. But the attitude as of late has been you should work in a tech and since I had more in...

Like I said, DVR will NOT help me. They have a waiting list that's 100 miles long. Thousands of people are ahead of me. They take the most-seriously disabled people first, then they'll get to people like me (with high-functioning autism spectrum). This morning I got rejected from the grocery cashie...

It's not just that that it's becoming more extroverted, but we don't just have NTs competing with us, but H-1B indentured labor (I even talked to a guy from India that called it that. Said that he has to wait 70 years for a green card and that the system is fixed between the body shops like Tata and...

If the apologists cannot perceive the utter ugliness of what is happening, no words can reach their closed minds. This is a tragedy on so many levels. I read updates and apologia and it makes me feel physical and emotional pain that people can be so callous, blind, cruel and indifferent to outrageo...

I try and leave the security settings up as high as possible. Still, if they could get through to my page in spite of it, then they'd find that I whine about all sorts of political ills which may well tick them off. Of course, I figure anyone that would go that far as to sneak through a FB backdoor ...

Hi. I'm a girl with Asperger's. I grew up in an Atheist house, identified as Atheist until recently. But my special interest was religion and I was always inclined towards spirituality, sooo... Now I'm considering becoming an Orthodox Christian. A lot of Christianity appeals to me, about loving you...

It's evolving. It's moving a bit Left on labor rights while also moving even further libertarian, in some areas, toward anarchy, especially when taking unconstitutional or even legal, but oppressive, orders from those in authority. And socially I'm conservative.

If Iceland is committing Down Syndrome genocide and the UK is murdering innocent disabled children like Alfie Evans, will they one day decide that Aspies are unfit to live and come for us too?

Wish the subject column were longer! (Sigh) I was going to say, what kinds of jobs are there that Aspies could do where the employer would need you as much as you need them, and that that wouldn't change based on age and/or experience? Right now, I've noticed that even qualified NTs are having troub...

Depends on what the job is, but most people are taught to do things on their own or to follow someone's lead, but I agree, with conditions, it can be very trying and get very hard to satisfy every one element of a company's prerogative to achieve something. The point is, nobody ever shows you how t...
