So your position is that errors can determine gender, and not the chromosomes. That is what the trans people argue. Gender is very different from biological sex. The two examples you cited there are genetic in nature. Sex is determined by genetics, The environment also plays a factor. There are kno...

The links actually explain why. Did you read them? They are caused by errors in the genetic code before or during fetal development. The males born with a uterus/etc are genetically males still, just one gene fubar'd in early fetal development and didn't trigger the change to male (in the womb befor...

If she identifies as female then she has every right to use the restroom. Got a headache and too tired to read through all of the comments just here to give hope and support for transgenders living in discrimination. Gender is not hard wired in the body but in the brain. Google and it read up on th...

After a while of not using this site I came back because I needed support. But. Then this post reminded me why I stopped. Everyone here is so transphobic. Trans people are NOT deceiving anyone. Trans people are NOT preying on anyone. This is a non-issue, she should be allowed the same treatment as ...

By that I meant if the student was stealth, if they didn't reveal to anyone their assigned birth gender. How would you know, unless told, what genitals someone would have? To make it clearer, hypothetical situation: a boy moves to a new school. He uses the toilets and changing rooms alongside other...

That's the ironic part. I didn't even know AS existed until I was 30. I 'was' myself up until then. Zero results. Its why im staring at a bottle of wellbutrin wondering if it will actually make a difference.

It is not about discriminatory privilege. It is about right. It's honestly worse to demand a toilet/room specifically for transgender people than it is asking for the use of the facilities already there (yes I am aware they have a trans toilet there). This is where things clash: What about the righ...

She is a girl. She is transgender, and should have every right to use the girl's facilities as she is a girl. This person is not female. This individual is biologically male despite his brain wiring/his gender. The issue at hand is that the girl's rights are being trampled upon to accommodate this ...

What I don't get is why an elected official cannot be 'fired' if they break the law as this woman is obviously doing.

Coping is subjective... socially/relationship wise? been 19 years since I moved here and its still as hopeless. Financially? Much better. Security (safety)? In...

Is it possible for your Autism to "regress" as a result of isolation (as an adult)? I've not had the same contact as I used to with other people (such as friends) for about 2-3 years and I feel like my Autism has been getting worse as a result? This includes a decline in social skills/lan...

Does anyone have ideas for words to encourage an aspie man. I assume that they need the same kind of words at NT males. But are there specific things or words that would be more meaningful to them.

Meaning what is being said is far better than just words.

On the question of why young muslim people are drawn to thieir philosophy it's largely based on some young muslims feeling socially isolated and not fitting in to broader western society. ISIL appeal to their disaffection and some get hooked. True. However the real reason behind it is literally, th...

The sad thing is he leads polls probably because people are too fed up with career politicians and here's someone who isn't ... and in a way, it feels good to show those career politicians that whenever there is a clown among them, the clown makes more sense.

CBT would never be my first recommendation. In my struggles I have only had one success with CBT and it was because my facilitator knew what she was doing. But most don't. I find for myself that medication and CBT have, in combination, helped me. But sly will not take meds. That last part I can und...
