I loved our riding mower, so I caint really speak to being bothered by the noise. We had a neighbour though, he had a problem with it. Tried to kill off our grass one time, little prat. I'd do what the above said and get an MP3 player, but I'd use it to block the noise, not bust your ear drums. The ...

I just tell them I'm 907 like the Doctor. There's one to throw people off.

It's perfectly acceptable to let someone know you're not comfortable with that question. It's actually rather a personal one, yet people are so insistent on asking. I'll never get why.

I saw 8 different 'pros' over 3 years. Yea, fun. The first was awesome, she just let me do what I wanted while asking the occasional question. The next few were just insane, like this one lady that asked Sis and I to draw a picture. She looks at it, says that 'the shape of the tree tells her our par...

I got a dark blue 2001 Chevy Cavalier. I call it the gutless wonder, or thumper if I'm in it. Cost 2500, something my grandma found me to go to school with. I was trying to get her to buy a ford fiesta for about 800, cheaper. But whatever. Paint's coming off, the interior is about 6 different colour...

The largest age gap I've ever seen personally was me and my mate. He is 14 years older than me, for a while we 'dated', which is only in quotes cause to kids these days that wasn't a relationship, we never got physical. But I was with him for about three years, starting at 17, which threw off my dad...

You could try installing some sort of parental control programme. We use K9 Web Protection for my little bro, it's pretty darn decent for free. You can get even better if you're willing to pay. Some of the nicer programmes will allow you to create an 'only' type list. Instead of allowing anything bu...

Our house has these security gates, the front one is always locked. ALWAYS. All the adults have a key on their keyring. Little bro doesn't have access to a key. The back door we let him come and go because there's a brick wall, I think that helps the wanderlust a bit as well. Someone asked me once w...

Is the universe Open, Flat or Closed ? all of the above and none of them/ how this is possible ? because once u understand that the universe is expanding and collapsing simultaneously the dark matter assumptions become as obsolete as the 'ether' of old days and we can see why the universe can be se...

I know what you're talking about OP. I'm on gabapentin for nerve pain and other neurological symptoms, and it really cleared up that morning 'attack'. I'm not sure what it was, but it does fit the criteria for a seizure aura, which can often be considered a seizure themselves. I have a ton of proble...

Put a blowdryer to it and pull. Keep the dryer at least a few inches away though, and keep it in motion. It should melt the glue enough to pull it free.

Once you do that, you're going to need some goo-gone, great stuff. It will pull the remaining bits of glue off.

Mum was having a discussion with current BF about why she never says 'I love you' to him. It made perfect sense to me, I'm not one to say something unless I feel the need, which with that phrase, I often don't. I do love people, but I don't feel the need to express it. I got roped into this discussi...

Well the Pell Grant is available to all qualified people who have less than a bachelors. It's a federal grant, right now my sis gets a little over 5k a year for school. It's not much, but it pays for classes at community college with a bit left over for gas and such. The only qualification is that y...

34 G or H depending on the company. I actually have documented back problems because of these puppies. I'll be so glad when I finally get them removed, I was a formula kid, mine can be too. Also, how many people have mentioned not wanting to look like a man's wet dream only to get the inevitable 'Yo...
